The Hydrangea Coaster was inspired by the single unit of a Hydrangea. This 4-petal flower is a marvel to behold and adds such a uniqueness!
Did you know?
Based on the pH of the soil, the flowers take on a pink/blue tone, hence every flower head is made up of tiny, uniquely shaded flowers.
Hence the Hydrangea Coaster! Mine is featured in Pink and Blue, but let the imagination in you create your own colorful combination 💕. This is an amazingly quick to make, tapestry crochet coaster. and adds a spot of color to add to your morning tray!

SKILL Level – Easy/Intermediate – uses Tapestry Crochet.
About Pattern: This is a simple no Sew/ minimum sew Pattern to make a coaster with a single Hydrangea Flower motif. The 4-petal flower has always fascinated me and this one is to add a small part of the garden to my Cuppa of the day!
COMPLETED SIZE: The Coaster measure 4*4 inches. Please note: The yarn and hook size, along with the crochet tension can make your projects size vary.
Materials:
● Light DK/ Sport weight – Cotton/Cotton mix; I HAVE USED: Laura Knitting Cotton Yardage: 110 yards for 50g About 75 yards of COLOR1 (Main color) and about 60 yards of COLOR 2 (accent color)
● Crochet hook - preferred hook that works with chosen yarn. I HAVE USED: US Size 2 or C (2.75 mm hook) for the project featured in the picture. You go a size up or down, depending on your crochet tension.
