5 sizes in each PDF.
My Inspiration:

I love NO-SEW projects! there is nothing I find more annoying than sewing multiple joins and ends in on a small project.
My Very Forgiving Beanie and the process of designing it, inspired me to adapt it to younger children, with a bonnet option!
As a part of the Head Over Heels Blog Hop (February 10th - 24th, 2025); this pattern is being feature on Day 7 - February 16th, 2025!

INSTRUCTIONS to make the Sweet Baby Bonnet!
PLEASE NOTE: the instructions below only cover the basic Newborn size using DK weight yarn!
SKILL Level – Easy/Intermediate
About Pattern: Following the given set of generic instructions will help you make a no-sew crochet baby bonnet. The Pattern essentially doesn’t have to match the gauge. It can be adapted with easy calculations.
COMPLETED SIZE: The Instructions are generic. However, there are 5 sizes that are covered in the PDF (paid pattern).
New-born, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months and 9-12 months.
Based on gauge to get the right sizing needed, with your yarn and hook choice, the sizing can be adjusted/adapted.
The blog instructions only cover the New-born size using Medium weight yarn. You can get access to all 5 Sizes using Medium weight yarn as a BONUS in the PATTERN BUNDLE.
Materials:
Yarn of choice – I have used 2 types of yarns in the featured projects: The instructions given below for medium weight yarn: 10 WPI.
I have used Nako Lollipop
Hook Size: choose the yarn appropriate hook to get the required stitches.
For Medium Weight - I have used 4 mm hook.
Stitch Markers (Optional), scissors and a needle to finish up.
For a different weight yarn/ hook size, please check highlighted ‘TIP for customization’ while working the instructions.

Gauge:
When we work the first 2 repeats of the instructions, measure the width. This will help you determine the number of chains you will need to make.
TIP to customize – will be highlighted. So, if you change the number of stitches to match your customization, then follow highlighted instructions!
Stitches used: US crochet terms
Pre-requisite: How to crochet around a ring.
ch - chain yo – yarn over sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet ss – Slip Stitch hdc – Half double crochet
RS – Right side of work WS – Wrong side of work
Special Stitches:
Cross DC stitch: This completed stitch is worked over 3 stitches as follows:
Skip the next 2 stitches, dc in the next stitch, ch1, dc in the first skipped stitch.
hdc2tog – yo, insert hook into the stitch, pull up loop (3 loops on hook),
yo, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop (5 loops on hook)
yo and pull through all loops.
PLEASE NOTE:
· Ch1 does NOT count as a stitch.
· Ch3 counts as dc. Hence 3rd chain of ch3 mentioned is considered as top of dc stitch.
· Ch2 counts as hdc. Hence 2nd chain of ch2 mentioned is considered as top of hdc stitch.

Repeat (hdc, hdc2tog) * around and join to the top of starting ch2.
Irrespective of what stitch you end on.
REPEAT Round 1 to decrease; till the number of stitches to approximately 6 stitches.
